What is the origin of the word?

It has been made up by an African American gang. The name of the gang starts with the letter B that is Blood. The name of their rival gang is Crips that has the letter C As its starting. The Blood gang has used the logic that the letter C at the starting of a word can be replaced by the letter B. For example, Caramel Custard will be changed to Baramel Bustard.

So using the same logic, they have substituted the letter C of collin, which is another word for chilling or hanging out and relaxing. So the first letter was replaced by B and hence it became boolin. They wanted to show their superiority over their rivals so they invented this word. This has been used by many rappers in their raps such asYoung Thug, YNW Melly, Lil Yachty,Meek Mill, Ty Dolla Sign, A$AP Rocky, Trippie Redd, and many more.
